Special Training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy
Therapy is about the work we do together, and the fact that you're reading this means change is possible because you've taken the first step. As your therapist, my role is to challenge you in order to find tools to achieve your goals and realize strengths you may not have known you had. My philosophy is that I work for you; you tell me your goals and I tell you how we are going to get there. You will leave our sessions knowing exactly where you’re going, and I will be cheering you on along the way. If you are looking to take control of your life and make that change you’ve been thinking about for awhile, you’ve come to the right place.
Due to my own experience in therapy, I like to be direct and authentic with my clients while maintaining a warm and accepting environment. Your sense of humor is welcome in my office as well. While I work with adults of all ages and identities, I have special training in working with LGBTQIA+ clients and people in all stages of parenthood. I take a trauma-informed, person-centered approach using an integrative model, drawing from psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral techniques to personalize therapy for each client. Our work together will be challenging and rewarding, and each session will be individualized to fit your needs and goals. I can’t wait to learn more about you and what you hope to achieve together.
