Pricing + Insurance

If you would like to use health insurance to cover psychotherapy sessions, please note that we do not accept insurance directly at our practice. We are out-of-network providers in the behavioral health care system. We do not submit claims. However, if you have insurance that offers behavioral health coverage for out-of-network providers, we are happy to provide you with a receipt to submit to your provider.

Insurance

Payments are due at the beginning of each appointment. We only accept credit cards when booking appointments. We also accept payments from your Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account.

What do I need to ask my insurance company about?

Common Questions

If you are interested in family or couples therapy, make sure to research whether or not your insurance covers CPT code 90847. Many insurances typically do not cover couples or family therapy. It’s also important to ask your insurance company questions like: Do I have out of network coverage? Do I need pre-authorization? How much of the fee will be reimbursed? Do I have a deductible? If so, how much more of my deductible needs to be before I will be reimbursed? What address should I send my therapy receipts to? Do I need any forms to accompany the receipt?

How many sessions will I need?

Every person and every concern is different. Once we’ve met and talked through your concerns, we can create a plan that will best suit your needs. Time in therapy can range from a few weeks to a few years.

How long is each session?

Each session is 45-50 minutes, with longer sessions available upon request.

I want to work on my relationship. Should I do Individual or Couples Therapy?

The answer depends on several factors. We typically like to meet with the couple first to determine if and when they should undergo individual therapy.

What is sex therapy?

Sex Therapy is for individuals and couples looking to develop meaningful and pleasurable sexual relationships as well as overcome any fears or anxieties. It is talk therapy, and does not involve any physical touch.

Is sex therapy only for couples or can I come as an individual?

Sex Therapy is for both individuals and couples. If you are unsure what you need, don’t hesitate to contact us.

What is your training?

Every therapist has at least a Masters degree and formal training in couples and sex therapy. Ask your therapist what specific training they have as some people might slightly differ in their interests and skills.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24-hours notice to cancel your appointment without penalty. If we are able to reschedule your appointment within the same week, there is no penalty.

How do I get started?

The first step is to reach out to us via phone or email if you have questions, or schedule an appointment directly online.
