Pricing + Insurance

If you would like to use health insurance to cover psychotherapy sessions, please note that we do not accept insurance directly at our practice. We are out-of-network providers in the behavioral health care system. We do not submit claims. However, if you have insurance that offers behavioral health coverage for out-of-network providers, we are happy to provide you with a receipt to submit to your provider.

What do I need to ask my insurance company about?

Common Questions

If you are interested in family or couples therapy, make sure to research whether or not your insurance covers CPT code 90847. Many insurances typically do not cover couples or family therapy. It’s also important to ask your insurance company questions like: Do I have out of network coverage? Do I need pre-authorization? How much of the fee will be reimbursed? Do I have a deductible? If so, how much more of my deductible needs to be before I will be reimbursed? What address should I send my therapy receipts to? Do I need any forms to accompany the receipt?

CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT THE NO SUPRISES ACT?

As of January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers are required by law to notify clients of their federal rights and protections against "surprise billing." This law requires that we notify you of your federally protected rights to receive a notification when services are rendered by an out-of-network provider, if a client is uninsured, or if a client elects not to use their insurance.

“Out-of-network” describes providers and facilities that haven’t signed a contract with your health plan.

As at out-of-network provider, at Be Well Therapy Group, you will be charged with-in 24-72 hours of your service. You will ALWAYS be charged the agreed upon rate between you are your therapist, at the time of service.

You’re never required to give up your protection from "surprise billing." You also aren’t required to get care out-of-network. You can choose a provider or facility in your plan’s network.

*Please note: Be Well Therapy Group, is an out of network mental health care practice and does not work with any insurance carriers.
